<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a power from being consumed wastefully without lowering original processing capability and to reduce the whole power consumption in a processor using manufacturing technique such as a CMOS in which the power is consumed by changing a signal. CONSTITUTION:This processor is composed by providing a control means CONT which outputs a control signal CS to specify target circuit units U2, U3 when it is decided that no operation for circuit units U1-UN in plural circuit units is required for processing executed by the processor, and so as to control the operation of the target circuit units U2, U3 to stop transiently in a state where an operating clock CK is being inputted in the constant cycle of the clock CK, or operating speed to be reduced temporarily.</p> |
