PURPOSE: A polyurethane resin composition and fiber which is stabilized against discoloration caused with NOx, and a method for the preparation of such a polyurethane fiber are provided. CONSTITUTION: A hindered amine compound having the solubility in an acidic solution of 5.0 x 10(-3) eq./liter or less comprising at least two specific organic groups in a specific weight ratio in a molecule, or at least two specific monomeric units, which can be used as a stabilizer of a resin. The hindered amine compound having, in a molecule, at least one organic group (A1) selected from a monovalent organic group of the formula (1): in which R is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, which may optionally be substituted, and R(1) is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, which may optionally be substituted, or an alkoxy group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and a divalent organic group of the formula (2): in which R is the same as defined above, wherein (a) the number of the organic group (A1) is at least 1.3 moles per 1 kg of the hindered amine compound, and (b) the solubility of the hindered amine compound is 5.0 x 10(-) eq./liter or less in an acidic solution.
