PURPOSE: A lamp is provided to replace rigid filament bulb lamp for improved visibility as well as to select an ultra violet or a visible light from one lamp assembly in order to reduce cost. CONSTITUTION: A lamp includes a body(1), a series/parallel array(80) of VL LED(visible light, light emitting diode)(7), and a current limiting device(14). The body(1) provides a driving electrode and a return electrode. The series/parallel array(80) of VL LED(7) is arranged on a carrier which is attached on the body. The current limiting device(14) is implemented on the body and limits the current induced by the VL LED. The current limiting device is coupled in series with the array of the VL LED, and the array and the current limiting device are coupled between the driving electrode and the return electrode. The body is a bayonet fitting body which is adequate for being operated with the bayonet fitting socket, and the driving electrode is a central electrode, and the return electrode is a bayonet fitting lug. |
