Cosmetics' case. e.g. powder compact, has flexible hinges to give improved seal between lid and base

The case consists of a base (20) forming a receptacle for a cosmetic product (21) and a lid (40) which is hinged to the base and forms a seal with it when closed. The hinge sections (31, 32) on the base and lid are connected by pins (33), and either the base sections or the lid section are/is made flexible, e.g. by grooves (58) reducing their thickness. On closure the lid and base are held together by fastening clips (22a, 42a).
