A restraining device comprising a support (2) incorporating a handle (3) and spaced apart first and second anchor points (4, 5, 10, 17), a strap (6) being attached to the first anchor point (4, 10) and slidably attached to the second anchor point (5, 17), the strap (6) and the support (2) defining a restraining enclosure (15) to enclose a detainee, wherein in use, movement of the strap (6) in a forward direction reduces the area of the enclosure (15) and movement of the strap (6) in a reverse direction increases the area of the enclosure (15). |
