CENTRIFUGE WITH INSIDE-OUT FLOW FILTER

PURPOSE: A centrifuge with inside-out flow filter is provided which prevents any undesired transfer of gaseous, liquid and/or solid substances between a filter housing and a solid housing. CONSTITUTION: An inside-out flow filter centrifuge for separating liquid-solid mixtures comprising a rotationally driven centrifugal drum (16); a filter cloth (22) which can be turned inwards or outwards on the centrifugal drum; a filter housing (10) for receiving and discharging the liquid filtrate of the liquid-solid mixture separated by centrifuging when the filter cloth is turned inwards in the centrifuging drum; a solids housing (11) for receiving and discharging the solid substance (filter cake) which is separated from the liquid-solid mixture when a the filter cloth is turned outwards upon further rotation of the centrifuging drum; and an annular passage (15) surrounding the edge of the centrifuging drum in the area of the filtrate housing and the solids housing.
