PURPOSE: All slave stations are provided not to connect to a supply voltage at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A bus-system with a master station(1) and multiple slave stations(11,12,13). The slave stations(11,12,13) have a connecting switch. When the connecting switch(14) of a first slave station(11) is open the following slave stations(12,13) no longer have any electrical contact with master station(1). The first slave station(11) is initialized during this phase. A test switch is closed(15) before the connecting switch(14) is closed and the current flow is limited by a current limiter(16). It is thus possible to check whether the following slave station(12) has a short circuit.
