The present invention relates to a saw blade (1) for gang saws. Said saw blade (1) consists of a longitudinal strip-shaped blade body (2). The end areas (4, 5) of said blade body (2) can be impinged upon by a tension force (F) which acts in the longitudinal direction of pull and by means of a clamping device. A longitudinal edge side forms a cutting side (14) for the assembly of cutting elements and the opposite longitudinal edge side forms a rear side (16). The blade body (2) is provided with weakened areas (20) which are arranged over its surface in such a way that when the blade body (2) is impinged upon by the tension force (F), the cutting side (14) is impinged upon by a first partial tension force (F1) that is higher than the second partial tension force (F2) on the rear side (16). |
