The cutter ring (1) has a crown of cutter packs and two carrier rings. Each pack has a cutter (1.1) angled against the radial direction with cutters pointing inwards. There is also a rotor (2) co-axial with the ring and surrounded by it. The rotor has a number of scoops (2.1) with splitting cutters on the outer ends.
