<p>The invention concerns a method for identifying a subscriber whereby the subscriber is provided with a mobile station (MS) equipped with a subscriber identification module comprising means for identifying himself to a first telecommunication network (11) under a first identity (IMSI1) and means for identifying himself to a second telecommunication network (12) under a second identity (IMSI2). The invention also concerns a subscriber identification module (SIM) for implementing said method. The invention is characterised in that said method comprises the following steps which consist in: defining a first telecommunication network (11) as having priority relative to the second telecommunication network (12); when the subscriber identification module (SIM) is identified in the second telecommunication network (12), verifying at regular intervals whether the mobile station (MS) is within the coverage zone of the first telecommunication network (11); the subscriber identification module (SIM) automatically identifies itself to the first telecommunication network (11) under its first identity (IMSI1), without intervention from the subscriber when he enters the first telecommunication network (11). The invention is particularly applicable to subscriber identification in GSM networks, using SIM.</p> |
