The blind (10), to cover openings (11) at doors and windows and the like, is composed of component parts as described in DE19724540-A1. It has a curtain (16) of curtain sections (17) in accordion pleats, linked together. A longitudinal holder is along one edge of the curtain structure, with a path which deviates at least partially from the axes (18) of the curtain sections (17). At least some of the curtain sections (17) are held at one edge by connectors (51) at the holder (20), for a relative movement at the holder.
