<p>The invention relates to a method for repairing local damage and/or for sealing the porosity of wearing surfaces expected to exhibit a good wear resistance in a pulp, paper, board or finishing machine, said surfaces being in contact with a paper web or pulp or a moving fabric. The invention also concerns a coated component for a pulp, paper or board machine or a finisching machine, said component being in contact with a paper web or pulp during the process. According to the method, said surface is coated with a sealing agent containing a synthetic polymer which is curable by means of electromagnetic radiation, whereupon the polymer is cured with the help of a source of radiation.</p> |
