A car headlamp has a lamp (100), fastened in a holder (200) connected to a reflector. The holder has a support area (204) for a support element (106) of the lamp that extends transversely to the mounting direction of the lamp. It also has an elastic locking device (301) covers the, or each, support element locally to hold the lamp in position. It also has a lamp plug (400) which together with the, or each, elastic locking device has a loading section (404) that upon insertion of the lamp plug opposes a movement of the lock tending to detach it from the support element.
