The control knob has an opto-electronic sensor (4) for determining the control knob (2) position which contains a fixed source (8) attached to the control knob and emitting at least two spatially separate light beams (10.1,10.2). A fixed light sensitive detector mosaic (12) extends over the entire range of adjustment of the control knob in both beam paths and determines the positions of both light spots (P1,P21) produced by the light beams on the mosaic. An evaluation circuit (14) determines the roll, pitch and yaw positions of the control knob from the light spot coordinates. |
