The wheelchair, with a pair of non-steering wheels and a pair of smaller steering wheels, has two parallel frame sections along the direction of travel next to the seat on both sides of it, as an open socket tube (1). The backrest and leg supports each have two insertion ends (2a,3a) to be fitted selectively into the leading or trailing ends of the socket tubes (1). The socket tubes (1) and the inserted support ends (2a,3a) each have lateral drillings for a stepped position setting, to be locked in place by pins through them.
