The invention concerns a linking device designed to link a metal cap or the like to a support, comprising a body (2) enclosing a magnet (3) capable of attracting the cap against the body to be maintained against it, and means for fixing (3) the body (2) on the support. The height (h) of the body (2) is adapted to the height of the cap so as to enable the cap to be raised higher to avoid any contact between the latter and the support. The body comprises a base (13) enabling the cap to be held. The magnet (3) is a double effect magnet also forming means for fixing the body (2) on the support. Alternatively, the body can be fixed on the support with screws (14), nails or glue (15). Several devices are arranged on the support to form a display unit for caps or the like.
