The fastening arrangement has an essentially cylindrical tubular hole in the component to be fastened relative to the fastening. A plug is provided to fit into the hole. This plug has an expandable sleeve element (13) and a wide body (14). It has a dowel shaft (15) for pushing the wide body relative to the sleeve element. The dowel or plug is arranged such that with the force required for mounting, the dowel is not fully expanded.
