This invention provides a golf ball constituting or having a core, intermediate layer and/or cover or consisting in whole or in part of a fluoropolymer. The fluoropolymer may be a perfluoropolymer that is sulfonated or carboxylated or a derivative thereof, and may comprise from 1 to 100 % of the cover. The fluoropolymer material may be blended with conventional materials employed to form golf ball cores, intermediate layers and/or covers.
