An optical disk comprises a stripe-like mark array of sub-information in a region where main information is not recorded. The sub-information is divided in a plurality of frames each having a predetermined number of information words. m pieces of information symbols comprising at least one word of each frame are added n pieces of dummy symbols to generate amplers n pieces of information symbols. i pieces of parity symbols are generated so as to generate a code for error correction, and said m pieces of information symbols and said parity symbols are recorded with using said mark array.
