PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of the lifting work large-size equipment in a building. SOLUTION: This lifting method enables the suspension of a large-size piece of equipment 1 inside a building in which an overhead traveling crane 14 is normally installed and the large-size equipment 1 is stored. A through-hole 17 is formed in a part positioned between the overhead traveling crane 14 and the large-size equipment 1 for a horizontal partitioning member 15 dividing the inside of the building into a plurality of stories, a suspension member 18 connected with the overhead travelling crane 14 is inserted through the through hole 17, and a lower end of the suspension member 18 inserted into the through hole 17 is connected with the large-size equipment 1 to suspend the large-size equipment 1 by the overhead travelling crane 14.
