PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the time of access to a continuously usable storage area by sequentially storing every discrete information display in a 2nd sequence in 2nd sequential storage locations. SOLUTION: A data base processor 12 has a local memory 14 comprising of a read-only memory(ROM) 15 and a random access memory(RAM) 16. The processor 12 is coupled with a magnetic disk controller 17, which controls the storage and retrieval of information items from one or more magnetic disk drives 18 and 19 and further other magnetic disk drives arranged on their right side. The respective discrete information displays in the 2nd sequence are sequentially stored in the 2nd sequential storage locations forward from a starting usable location selected out of 1st sequential storage locations.
