PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable purchase of a train ticket and/or a commuter ticket with an IC card. SOLUTION: A train ticket is purchased with an IC card, and the purchased ticket territory is recorded in the IC card (s1). Next, the IC card is read by automatic checking to prove the purchase (s2). When correct information is not registered (s3), the passenger can not to pass checking. Similar operations are carried out at a leaving station (s4). When a passenger rode in a train to his ticket destination (s5), the information of the ticket is eliminated from the IC card (s6). When a passenger gets off outside his ticket territory, his personal identification number(PIN) is input (s7), and when the PIN is correct (s8) and he is carried beyond his destination (s9), the charge difference is reduced from the electronic money of the IC card (s10). When a passenger gets off within the ticket territory, the electronic money is refunded (s11). Similarly, the information of a commuter ticket can be registered in an IC card. |
