PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle brake device improving a response delay in a brake initial time. SOLUTION: A bias current less than the current required for generating a brake fluid pressure is impressed to a proportional control valve 9 in a non- braking time when a brake pedal 1 not actuated, so that an initial response delay of a brake fluid pressure is improved. When braking control is finished, the bias current is temporarily reduced lower than a predetermined value to zero or to a value close to zero, a residual brake fluid pressure inside the brake device 11 is dissolved.
