PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating method for printing press in which abrasion is reduced and a printing press for implementing the method. SOLUTION: At least one inking arrangement roller 21-23 is rotary driven at a difference speed relative to the circumferential speed of plate cylinder 8. In an operating method of a printing press comprising the plate cylinder 8 and an inking arrangement 15 therefor, at least one inking arrangement roller 21-23 is driven at a difference speed time dependent on various operating states of the inking arrangement 15 and at other relative speed to the circumferential speed of the plate cylinder 8.
