PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a synthetic wood-coated metal pipe excellent in thermal deformation resistance and enhanced in weatherability while keeping a woody feeling and a grain pattern. SOLUTION: In a synthetic wood-coated metal pipe having a grain pattern obtained by coating the outer pheriphery of a metal pipe 1 with a woody resin mixture 3, the woody resin mixture 3 is obtained by mixing 0.5-10 pts.wt. of colored pellets comprising a thermoplastic resin containing a colorant with 100 pts.wt. of a woody resin compsn. prepared by compounding 5-100 pts. of wood flour and 1-30 pts.wt. of styrene modified polyethylene wax with 100 pts.wt. of a styrenic resin and a transparent weatherable resin 4 is further provided to the surface of the woody resin mixture.
