<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a universal pulling eye for a power cable, which can be used for both pull-in and push-in operations and by which the tip of the pushed cable is easily guided along the bent part of a line. SOLUTION: A universal pulling eye is composed of a coiled spring 9 and a pulling wire 10 inserted through the coiled spring 9. The coil pitch of the coiled spring is gradually increased toward its tip, so as to reduce the bending rigidity of the tip part. That is, the tip part of the pulling eye is made easy to bend and hence easy to be made to follow a cable laying route. When a pull-in operation using a winch is necessary, the pull wire 10 is used, and if a push-in operation using a hauling machine is used, the coiled spring 9 is used, so that one pullying eye can be used for both pull-in and push-in operations with respect to various cable laying routes. It is recommended to fix both the coiled spring 9 and the pull wire 10 to a common conductor connection sleeve.</p> |
