PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to take exact reading-out timing even when fingerprint traces or stains exists in the information recording area of an optical recording medium. SOLUTION: This optical recording medium recording/reproducing device has a means, which has oblong holes and notches and carries in/discharges the optical recording medium having plural information recording areas on a recording layer formed on a substrate, an optical system unit which irradiates the information recording areas of the optical recording medium with a laser beam and detects the interference fringes of the hologram obtained by the irradiation with the laser, a transfer means 190 which holds the optical recording medium and transfers the optical recording medium in a longitudinal direction and an information recording means which records information to the information recording areas. A detecting member 191 which has plural diffraction gratings 192 (192a to 192x) and consists of the material having the same coefficient of thermal expansion of the coefficient of thermal expansion of the optical recording medium is mounted to part of the transfer means 190. |
