PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems caused when high-density recording is performed by reducing the length of recording marks, by forming a shortest recording mark in which at least a part of the rear end is convex against the front end when an amorphous recording mark is formed in a recording layer. SOLUTION: The recording mark is formed in such a manner that at least a part of the rear end of the recording mark is convex against the front end of the recording mark. Not all recording marks are required to be formed into the aforementioned outline but at least the shortest recording mark has the convex end. By forming the recording mark into the aforementioned form, the width MW of the shortest recording mark is made larger than the length ML. Preferably, MW and ML are controlled to MW/ML >=1.1. By intensively causing a same effect as self-erasing in the rear end side of a fused region, the rear end of the fused region is crystallized to form the specified outline of the rear end of the recording mark. |
