PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge having no upper and lower half bridging portions and no shutter guides in the opening part when a shutter is open. SOLUTION: This disk cartridge is provided with a case main body composed of upper and lower halves 110 and 150 having roughly U-shaped notched openings, a shutter 200 roughly U-shaped in section for opening/closing an opening 111 when slid, and a shutter guide 240. The shutter guide 240 is slidably engaged with the shutter 200 so as to be slidably held on the upper and lower halves 110 and 150 in the same direction as that of the shutter 200, and be housed in a case main body when the opening is opened.
