PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a waiting time at the time of turning on power source and to eliminate or reduce a silent time at the time of exchanging a disk by reading out leading reproducing data of other disks and writing them in a memory means during the read-out suspending period of reproducing data. SOLUTION: A disk D1 in reproduction is retracted in the housing place of a changer part 12 and, next, another disk D2 is moved to a reproducing position as a disk 1. Leading reproducing data are read out from the disk D2 to be written in a second memory means 10. After the changer part 12 reserves the disk D1 in the housing place, it moves the disk D1 in reproduction to the reproducing position again. Then, data of leading parts of respective disks can be stored in the memory part by repeating the reading out of leading data of the respective disks from the plural sheets of disks housed in the changer part 12 and the storing of the data in the memory means 10 every time when the data residual quantity of a memory part 9 exceeds a predetermined upper threshold value by an amount equivalent to the number of sheets of disks.
