PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm degree of corrosion of a parent material of equipment used in corrosive environment. SOLUTION: A corrosion loss confirmation marking member 7 made of corrosion resistant material is embedded in a mother material of a valve body 2 in contact with corrosion causing material in thickwise direction thereof. The corrosion loss confirmation marking member 7 is gradually exposed together with corrosion of a surface of the parent material. It is thus possible to know the degree of the corrosion only by visually confirming the size of the exposure, and thereby easily determine whether the equipment can still be used or not.
