PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolymer capable of taking a structure contg. no halogen regarded questionable from a view point of environmental pollution, transparent, and excellent in flexibility and heat resistance, an efficient manufacturing method of the copolymer, and moldings transparent and excellent in flexibility and heat resistance. SOLUTION: This copolymer is prepared by copolymerising ethylene and/or anα-olefin, a cyclic olefin, and an alkenyl arom. hydrocarbon, and it contains 0.01-66 mol % cyclic olefin, 3-99 mol % alkenyl arom. hydrocarbon, and more than half as much alkenyl arom. hydrocarbon as the cyclic olefin. In this manufacturing method of the copolymer, ethylene and/or theα-olefin, the cyclic olefin, and the alkenyl arom. hydrocarbon are copolymerised in the presence of a catalyst formed using the following (A), and (B) and/or (C). (A) a specific transition metal complex, (B) an org. aluminum compd., (C) a boron compd.
