PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a biuret type polyisocyanate composition, capable of efficiently reducing urea dimer. SOLUTION: This biuret type polyisocyanate composition not containing a diisocyanate monomer is obtained by treating a mixture under the conditions of diisocyanate monomer concentration, temperature and time which satisfy the following conditions; (1) the diisocyanate concentration: <=40 wt.%, (2) the time (min): 2-10 min, (3) the temperature ( deg.C): 100-160 deg.C, and (4) time (min)>(-3×temperature + 330) [100 <= temperature( deg.C) <= 110].
