PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crosslinkable polymer composition which does not require severe conditions for crosslinking, and various polymer materials which are composed of this composition, excellent in strength and exhibit rubber properties. SOLUTION: Polymer compositions contain (A) 1-90 pts.wt. rubber having an epoxy group, (B) 99-10 pts.wt. polymer having a carboxyl group, and (C) a strong Lewis acid, an acid having a pKa of not greater than 4.5 or a base having a pKb of not greater than 4.0. The rubber (A) having an epoxy group is preferably an epoxidized natural rubber, an acrylic rubber or an ethylene/ acrylic rubber.
