PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a switching regulator that has a simple configuration, and can prevent efficiency from decreasing. SOLUTION: An SW regulator 11 is composed of a control circuit 12, first and second transistors TR1 and TR2, a MOS transistor 13, resistors R1 and R2, a chopper circuit 14, and a secondary voltage generating circuit 15. The drain, and source terminals of the MOS transistor 13 are connected to a power supply, and to a chopper circuit 14, respectively. The chopper circuit 14 is composed of a diode D1, an electrolytic capacitor C1, and a primary coil L1 consisting of the primary-side coil winding of a transformer T1. The secondary voltage generating circuit 15 is composed of a secondary coil L2, consisting of the secondary-side coil winding of the transformer T1, and a rectifying circuit 16 consisting of a diode D2 and a capacitor C2.
