PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a permanent-magnet rotor electric machine for which the machining cost of magnets can be reduced. SOLUTION: A permanent-magnet rotor electric machine 10 is constituted of a stator 20, having a stator core 22 wound with a stator winding 24 and a rotor 30 which is rotatably held with respect to the stator 20 with a rotating gap G and has a rotor core 32 and a plurality of permanent magnets 36 arranged in the core 32, in a state where the magnets 36 face opposite to the stator core 22. Two sets of N- and S-poles are magnetized in each magnet 36 in the diametrical direction (perpendicular to the direction of rotation).
