PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method or the like for surely transmitting communication data to a destination while drastically increasing a data transmission quantity per unit time through the use of a set address by automatically setting the address in a repeater and node terminals. SOLUTION: When data are exchanged through route hubs RH4 and RH6 between a pair of LAN 3 and 5, RH4 transmits an address setting frame clockwise to first LAN 3, the address is set in each RH and each node terminal N in RH1-RH4 in order by an address value and the collected address setting frame is transmitted to RH6. RH6 sets a self address by the address value of the received address frame, transmits the address setting frame clockwise to the second LAN 5, sets the address with respect to each RH and each node terminal N in order from RH7 by the address value, returns the collected address setting frame to RH4 and automatically sets the address in each RH and each node terminal N.
