PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate generation of inverse flow rate without delay. SOLUTION: This flowmeter is provided with a first partial circuit 21 for forming a flow rate signal 'q', a second partial circuit 22 for forming an output signal 'qc', and a third partial circuit 23. The flow rate signal is highly precisely proportional to the flow rate q of fluid to be measured in a specified measuring region m. The frequency f of the output signal is highly precisely proportional to the flow rate of fluid flowing in the direction determined by the structure of a flowmeter in a specified measuring region. The third partial circuit detects an inverse flow rate -q' generated at a measuring time in the inverse measurement direction, stores the detected value, and subtracts the value from the next measured flow rate.
