<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron club head which facilitates the hitting of a ball normally with the surface of face by preventing mistake of hitting the top of the ball even when the loft angle is large and a large bounce angle and a smaller sole radius or a larger sole width is given to the sole part. SOLUTION: The leading edge 3 of the surface of 2 of the face of a head body 1 when the sole surface 5 contacts the ground at a normal loft angle is set at a geometrical contact point of below it with a ball 4 placed on the ground. The portion between the tip of a fillet part and the sole surface 5 arranged at a backwardly lower part being linked to the leading edge is formed by a curved surface concave downward. This prevents mistake of hitting the top of a ball to facilitate hitting normally with the surface of the face.</p> |
