PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively seal a portion hermetically, by sealing a clearance even if there is a step between an upper face of a cylinder block and an upper face of a case by elastic deformation of ribs itself. SOLUTION: Among a cylinder head 2, a cylinder block 3, and a case 4, a cylinder head gasket is disposed and sandwiched. On a surface of the cylinder heat gasket, a seal member 22 is disposed across both of the cylinder block 3 and the case 4. Further, on a surface of the seal member 22, ribs 22, 22b, 22c, 22d, and 22e are projected to cut across the cylinder block 3 and the cylinder head 2.
