PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the action of a rotary positioning mechanism and to make the arrangement of an operation part free in a push type writing implement in which by the rotary positioning mechanism comprising a fixed cam, sliding cam, and a rotary cam which is housed in a main body to face the fixed cam and the sliding cam, a writing body biased in the housing direction by a main bias means housed freely forward/backward movably in the main body is positioned at a projection position and at a housing position. SOLUTION: The rear end of a connection shaft 62 penetrated by a rotary cam 8 is connected pushably to a sliding cam 7, the sliding cam 7 and the rotary cam 8 are held separably in the axial direction by the connection shaft 62, an auxiliary bias means for biasing the sliding cam 7 and the rotary cam 8 in the contact direction is installed, an operation part 4 and the tip of the connection shaft 62 are connected together by a connection lever 60, and a writing body is housed in a main body 2 to be supported by the tip of the connection shaft 62 or the connection lever 60.
