PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a cooling time of a gate, to shorten a molding cycle and to improve moldability by forming a sectional shape of a gate of a molten resin filling port to a cavity to be formed when a mold is closed in an elliptical state, and directing a minor axis direction of the gate in the same direction as a cutting direction of the gate. SOLUTION: When a fixed mold 2 and a movable mold 2 are closed, a cavity 4 surrounded by a cavity bush 13 and a core is formed. A gate 3 is arranged on a parting line 6 of mating surfaces of the bush 13 and a movable side plate 22 as a filling port in the cavity 4 of molten resin. Here, the gate 3 is formed in its sectional shape in an elliptical shape, and set at its minor axis (a) in the same direction as a cutting direction (b) of a gate cutter. Thus, distances between the bush 13 of the gate 3 and the plate 22 can be shortened to shorten a cooling time from a mold surface, and a stroke of the cutter is shortened to improve moldability.
