摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve two kinds of uniformity which means uniformity of liquid crystal thickness all over a pixel region and uniformity of a single pixel region, and to eliminate a display irregularity and color slippage by forming the pixel region and a peripheral region in such a manner that the surface of the pixel region and the surface of the peripheral region are substantially on a same plane. SOLUTION: The pixel region 10 having single pixel regions 25 as the structural elements has a first polycrystalline silicon layer 3 and a second polycrystalline silicon 4 which constitute a capacitor 20, aluminum wirings 6 which constitute wirings of a scanning circuit, and aluminum light shielding plates 8 in pixels and pixel electrodes 9. A dummy pattern 40 is formed as overlapped in a region adjacent to a panel seal 14 included in the peripheral region 41. Each thin film which constitutes the dummy pattern 40 is formed from the same material and to the same height and same thickness as those of the thin film which forms a driving circuit and a pixel layer. Thereby, the thickness 22 of a liquid crystal 21 injected between a transparent substrate 15 including electrodes 18 and a semiconductor substrate is made uniform.</p>
