PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening an antifungal substance by measuring a binding property between a test antifungal substance and a protein using the protein giving aureobasidin sensitivity or resistance for which a gene having a specific restriction enzyme map, etc., codes. SOLUTION: A method for screening an antifungal substance by measuring a binding property between a test substance having an antifungal activity and a protein using the protein coded by either one of a gene, which is shown by a base sequence of formula I or the like or a base sequence resulting from at least one of substitution, deletion, addition or insertion of one or more bases in the base sequence and codes for a protein giving aureobasidin sensitivity or resistance, and a gene, which is included in a DNA fragment shown by a restriction enzyme map of formula II or the like and originated from Schizosaccharomyces pombe or the like and codes for a protein giving aureobasidin sensitivity or resistance, or the protein shown by formula III or the like. |
