PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of ozone generated in an electrification process by forming a photosensitive layer consisting of an electric charge transferring region and an electric charge generating region filled in holes formed in the electric charge transferring region. SOLUTION: The electric charge transferring region 102 is formed on an electrically conductive substrate 101 and the electric charge generating region 103 is filled in holes formed in the region 102. By taking the structure of a matrix-shaped function separation type, the electric charge generating region 103 is not necessarily required to bear durability and durability may be borne by the electric charge transferring region 102 exposed like the region 103. Since an organopolysilane having mechanical strength is used as the material of the electric charge transferring region 102, the region 102 can easily bear durability. When an inorganic material is used for the electric charge generating region 103, durability may be borne by the region 103 on the contrary.
