PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens system where pumping correction can be made even in the case of using a uniaxial two-motion operating rod by driving a zoom lens with a motor through the use of a differential gear mechanism in a drive mechanism manually moving a zoom lens with the uniaxial two-motion operating rod and using the motor to move the zoom lens when a focus lens is driven so as to prevent fluctuation in a field angle attended with the movement of the focus lens. SOLUTION: The power of a uniaxial two-motion operating rod 5 that is pulled/pushed is transmitted to a zoom lens 16 via a roller 36, a differential gear mechanism 40, a pulley 40, a belt 48, a pulley 46 and a cam cylinder 44 to move the zoom lens 16. The differential gear mechanism 40 is equipped with a motor 52, which is driven when a focus lens 12 is moved to move the zoom lens 16 thereby conducting pumping correction.
