PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve quality by housing a rod lens array in set jig for a rod lens array, making the lower surface of the rod lens array float from a carrying surface and eliminating fear that the rod lens array is scratched. SOLUTION: Specified number of rod lens arrays 2 are set in the set jig for the rod lens array 3 capable of holding the lower surface of the rod lens array 2 at a position upper than the lower surface of a frame 4 by setting the height dimension of the frame 4 larger than that of the rod lens array 2. Then, a buff and brush cleaning device 10 horizontally carrying the jig 3 in which the rod lens arrays 2 are set and cleaning it from up and down sides by a buff and a brush, an ultrasonic washing device 30 horizontally carrying it under water and ultrasonically washing the upper and the lower surfaces of the rod lens array, and a primer coating device 40 horizontally carrying it and coating the upper and the lower suffices of the rod lens array with primer are arranged in this order. Thus, the processing line 1 of the rod lens array is constituted.
