PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting method of a superconducting wire which can connect exposed terminal strand filaments of two extra-fine multi-core superconducting wires to each other in a perfectly connected condition. SOLUTION: After strand extra-fine filaments are exposed by dissolvingly removing a stabilization metal material at a one-side end of two extra-fine multi-core superconducting wires that are to be connected the exposed terminal strand extra-fine filaments of two extra-fine multi-core superconductive wires are overlapped on each other. Thereafter, a stabilization metal pipe is fitted to an outer periphery of the overlapped part of the mutual exposed terminal strand extra-fine filaments, and then exposed terminals of the superconducting wire is connected to each other by caulking the stabilization metal pipe. Successively, ultra-fine superconductive whiskers are charged into the inside of the superposed part of the mutual exposed terminal strand extra-fine filaments.
