PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately grasp an inclination situation during travel and work of a travelling construction machine such as a crawler crane on real time basis without being affected by the vibration of an engine and prevent the occurrence of an accident due to falling down caused by shortage of soil bearing and inclined ground. SOLUTION: In a travelling construction machine in which an upper frame 4 provided with a working device 5 is continuously provided on a lower frame 3 provided with a running device 2 to drive the running device 2 and the working device 5 by power of an engine 6 mounted on the upper frame 4, an attitude monitoring device 7 detecting inclination in two X and Y directions which are orthogonal mutually and in the direction of synthesis is mounted on the lower frame 3, an alarm is generated at a first stage based on the results of the detection by the attitude monitoring device 7, and power to the working device 5 and the running device 2 is shut off at a second stage.
