PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt lifting jig capable of being used for replacing a carrier roller or a return roller, being relatively light in weight, and being easily and surely operatable. SOLUTION: This jig consists of a base 3 installed by laterally inserting itself into an angle-made frame 16 having a lateral groove, a bracket 4, a jack 1 comprising a pantagraph 5 connecting the base 3 to the bracket 4, and a connecting bar 13 which underruns the belt stretching above a carrier roller 15 and whose both ends are pivotally attached to the bracket 4 so as to connect the jacks 1 with each other. In replacing the carrier roller, the jack 1 is expanded so that a belt 17 is lifted by at least the diameter of the carrier roller 15 above the carrier roller 15 using the connecting bar 13. In replacing the return roller, a subfitting is installed in the bracket 4 of the jack 1 and suspended therefrom, while the connecting bar 13 underruns the belt stretching above the return roller so as to connect itself to the subfitting.
